Lainie and her Dragonflies
When wind dies, bugs fly. As dusk darkens, skin bites and itches. True almost anywhere water stagnates. But one flying insect occasionally arrives to fend off these bothersome buggers. Its appearance often turns the tide and comes to the rescue. On a number of occasions on my boat these attackers have suddenly disappeared. Dragonflies devour no-seeums, gnats and mosquitoes; maybe they scare them away. They are, after all, imposing giants. Dragonflies are powerful and precious insects. All I know is when dragonflies appear the itching ends. And for some reason when Lainie comes on Mystique, they appear more often.
