Hello, I'm Henry.

Welcome aboard my blog's home.

If you come along with me, you'll become acquainted with my motley mates and faithful crew:

Experiences, Sightings, Observations, Impressions, Ideas, Reflections, Remembrances, Insights and Commentary.

They, after all, have accompanied me for as long as I can recall. Their tenure has helped me turn my tiller, fill my sails, and transport me over seas to distant lands. Maybe if you take the time to get to know them, a few will do the same for you.

Click this way and scroll along if you please...Enjoy your stay.

Reflecting Rays

Reflecting Rays

Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.
— Søren Kierkegaard

Sky light and sun reflections on water seem like mirror images. Nature gives those on the water daily reflections in the morning and late afternoon. It is then that the sun's rays are angled on bodies of water. All of these photos are angled towards horizons and towards early and late day times.  Overhead reflections do not appear because of the light's angle.

Reflections of memories are like that as well. We reflect and reminisce about life when we remember it from an angle - not when it is over our heads.

Yet as in this image Calvin's thrill ride is more focused on the activity and action while Hobbs' views their reality as they both fly through the air into an upcoming splash. They will disrupt their reflection, but may reflect later on their wagon ride.
