It’s 4:45 a.m on January 31, 2018 and Mystique, Lainie and I wake afloat near Miami, Florida. Pulled out of a deep sleep, we observe a full waning moon shining brightly over the western sky of Biscayne Bay. It reminds us it’s nearing show time. A blue moon?
Time for a whitish, then yellowish orb to turn greyish then blood reddish as Earth’s full moon goes into a lunar eclipse. All this moon coloration and setting accompanied with an eastern sunrise?
The moon’s bluish/greyish orb outlines itself before dipping below the horizon.
I could sense all our invisible forces at play: gravity, tidal current, waves, sun and moon light rays, wind, air, heart, lungs, thoughts, feelings! All these energies tugged and moved around us while the pull of our waking to their wonders brought us our daily cup of renewed awareness and vitality.
The blue moon‘s irregularity made today unique, but its display was anything but spectacular.
